Everyone is selfish in their own ways, but how far will we let that selfishness go, before we start to lose control?

selfish-Concerned mainly with one's own needs or wishes.
Only now have I proved myself as nieve,
Only now haveI noticed my selfish deeds.
Once thinking I was a selfless creature,
Only to find I am the true beseecher.
Thinking I was the only one right,
Trying to make myself a better life.
Thinking I was such a self righteous person,
Only to find what I was 'nursing'.
What a horrible, cruel, and ugly girl.
Making everything just right for herself.
Thinking on it make me want to hurl.
Throw it up,
And give it back,
Atleast do one selfless act!
Seeing the world through my once gullible eyes,
Seeing the world as once,
My own prize.
Seeing now as we know it,
Must seem as selfish as me,
And you know it.
Hurting ones,
Letting them suffer,
To benifit my own,
And was fine to let it be known,
To let it be shown.
Oh, how my eyes have been molded,
And yet they're still soaking,
Soaking in tears,
Of not joy, but regret,
Soaking in tears,
That I will never forget.
Is it worth it?
Having your one little thing.
The one thing you wanted so bad,
Now it's leaving you and others sad.
Do I still sit here and see me?
As a selfless girl I use to see.
Or do I sit here,
To wallow in my grief, and see,
The world and all its' selfishness
Contorted into, Me?
